We’ve experienced some wintry weather lately, that decorated the trees with a frosting like covering. Whether you like winter or not, you have to admit that the trees in Judy Byykkonen’s photos here today are beautiful. It’s hard to beat the beauty that nature spreads around the Keweenaw like Jack Frost with a sub-zero paintbrush. We are definitely living in a Winter Wonderland!
If you’re in need of a bit of serenity to begin the week with, Steve Brimm has just the right dose of it with a babbling brook in the midst of winter. Make sure you turn up your speakers for the full effect. And don’t forget to check out more of Steve’s work here: Steve Brimm Studio

I grew up farming with Allis Chalmer tractors and still have a D-17, but yesterday's photo that old Farmall is pretty amazing!

Good morning Mary:
Does Judy Byykkonen say what building that is in the top photo called "Frosty Trees"?
All of these pictures are sure beautiful! But the 3rd and 4th ones are my favorites. I love the thick snow covering on all of the trees and branches. What would we do without Judy's adventures?
The bubbling brook was beautiful also. I love listening to the water flowing over the rocks. It definitely is a winter wonderland around here.

It also can bring downed power lines and great difficulties for the utility repairmen. Hoping all is sturdy and holding up.

The building in Judy's top photo, I think is an old Mining Co. building, but is now part of the Calumet Electronics company buildings. Maybe someone else can chime in with what the building was before and if I'm correct in assuming it is part of Calumet Electronics now. Thanks in advance for any input.

The building in question was the C&H clinic. I had to go there with an injury when I worked at the Smelter in Hubbell.

It's interesting how often we give directions to someplace based on what used to be there.
