I know I’ve said it before, but I’m going to say it again...George C. Bailey sure knows how to live and he sure knows where to live, too. Residing on the north shore of the U.P. gives him outstanding views of the setting sun, with something just a bit different every day. The clouds in today’s shots look like a mountain range off in the distance and from one photo to the next the scene changes dramatically. I’m guessing George must have his camera batteries charged and ready to go at a moment’s notice.
We go from a sunset to a sunrise at dawn on the shores of Lake Superior at Whitefish Bay. Peaceful with the sound of the waves rolling onto the shoreline. Turn those speakers up!

Simply gorgeous. Thank you George and Mary.
I'm planning my first trip UP in my new trailer soon. Its the maiden voyage for my trailer.
It might be a bit early to ask but any indication yet if Autumn is arriving early, normal, late? With the lack of rain I'm not sure how things will be.

D. A. (Midwested), Wishing you a great maiden voyage! You might check the Pure Michigan website - they usually have a fall color report with current conditions.
It is impossible to pick a favorite sunset from the gorgeous shots today. What a wonderful conundrum to be in!

Sun-sational pix and a very nice video...don't forget to FULL-SCREEN it. Enjoy, D.A.! Looking for that perfect UP, fall- color day takes time and patience...good luck.

Sunset on the North Shore, Lake Superior Mountains, Rays over Superior: Fooled me — my first thought: "Who moved Camelback Mountain from Phoenix to Lake Superior?"
