Cathy McKenzie had family visiting for their vacation time here in the Keweenaw and they not only enjoyed each other’s company, but did it in style with kayaking, bonfires and of course ice cream treats and S’mores! She said the weather was perfect, so they were able to spend quite a bit of their time together outdoors. Lake Superior was cooperative, also, which means they did plenty of kayaking, which you can see in today’s photos. It looks like the perfect way to relax and unwind, paddling peacefully out to watch the setting sun. The bonfire afterwards, with the moon watching down on them was the icing on the cake, so to speak.
