Here in the U.P. over the past week, we’ve been experiencing some warmer than normal temperatures for March, but believe me, we’re not complaining. It’s helped to melt plenty of the snowcover we still had on the ground, which means the falls are running quite well. Marcy Bessolo Hermanson was at Bond Falls in Ontonagon County over the weekend and brought back these photos for us all to see what the flowing waters are doing. When the snows are melting is the best time to visit there and Marcy’s photos prove that. Plenty of water rushing over the falls and along the Ontonagon River.
Another place the water is really running hard is the Huron River in Skanee. Nancy Haun was there recently and recorded the fast flowing waters there, with a look at Big Eric’s bridge, too. Turn up your sound if you want to hear the rushing water.

Would love to drop a line into the Huron River. Bet there's some dandy trout lurking there.
