Ice fishing is a popular pastime around the Copper Country. We join Jodi Corrigan and her family and friends on Torch Lake in Lake Linden for their fishing adventure this past weekend. Jodi said they only caught one fish, but I’m sure they had a good time, out in the fresh air, enjoying a fun winter activity. Looks like the heater inside the ice fishing tent keeps folks cozy while they’re waiting for those fish to bite.
Jill Hodges shares a video with us, of the ice that has been coming and going out in the Big Traverse area of Lake Superior. Jill says it’s here yesterday and gone today, then it comes and goes again. Her hubby explains that’s why they run outside regularly to document what they see. Before they turn around, it’s gone! Make sure you have your volume turned up, so you can hear the ice crackle.

Nice pics & video...cool sounds of the ice moving and crackling! Was Torch Lake polluted at one time due to the mining? I thought I remember hearing that? I could be mistaken...
