If you’ve been a regular visitor here on the Pasty Cam, you already know that Nancy Haun is a huge rail fan and is always in search of capturing photos of the trains in and around the L’Anse area. Today’s shots from her are alongside US41, two of which are right there near the entrance to the Bishop Baraga Shrine. Another passion of Nancy’s, so it’s neat that she could capture the train and the entrance signs for the Shrine in her photos.
Nancy’s said her first photo was the CN almost to the switch, the furthest the CN goes anymore. Her second shot it as the CN first arrived in the area and the third picture shows the CN as it is backing into the Certainteed yard, which is out of sight in the shot. I really like that last shot, with the bridge, the Falls River and the snow along the riverbanks.
The video is one Nancy made back at the beginning of December, while waiting for the CN train to come along, she spotted this railroad snowplow coming by. She said she was hoping to see it at work during the winter plowing the tracks, but thought this was good, too. I agree with her on this one, as you get a good look at the plow as it goes by her. I was surprised at how big it is.

Cool pix and video! Nature just took a 1 to 2 inch
dump in my drive way, if that plow is looking for
any business on the side.
