Barbara Bouwkamp enjoys the shores of Lake Superior and we’re lucky she does, since she usually has a camera in tow and is always willing to share her photos. She snapped these shots at Bucky’s (a.k.a Calumet Waterworks Park) one evening, when the Big Lake was relatively calm, with just a few rollers coming in to shore. Barb captured someone’s creative adventures with a number of nature’s props, too. My favorite, though is her second photo, with what looks like a reflection on the shoreline, of the sun and its glow as it was going down. Not sure how or what created that, but it’s pretty neat.
If you have the time, like Barb did this evening, you get to enjoy the sun going down and the moon coming UP. I can only imagine how peaceful it must have been with just a little sound from the rolling waves onto shore.
Lady Superior wasn’t that quiet or calm when Two Bridges North recorded today’s video. The action is even more dramatic in this accelerated time-lapse clip.
