Last week we had Gale Warnings, which makes most people head inside. Not these surfer dudes and obviously not Brita Haapala, from Brita Caroline Photography, who wasn’t going to miss a great opportunity for wave shots and had the bonus of surfers, too. I would probably venture out and do what Brita was attempting, but those guys? No way would I try and walk on that breakwall with the waves washing over and the spray coming at you. I bet the spray stung when it was hitting them. When you’re young, though, you do crazier things than you do when you get older and don’t feel so invincible.

Brita was able to get a short video of these daredevils as they were getting ready to try surfing in this wild water. She said she couldn’t even hold her phone still it was blowing that hard.

Crazy day for sure! I saw 4 guys walk to the end of the McClain concrete pier but none of them are shown jumping in, Hmm.
