When Sharon Bodenus of Upper Peninsula Photography is out and about with her camera, she always manages to find some shots that are unique and interesting. Today she shares an icy view of the breakwall in Marquette Harbor. Tread lightly there, so you don’t slip into the cold, cold waters of Lake Superior.
Her next photo was quite the find, as she figures she found where Ms. Superior rests her head... that’s quite a nice looking bed of ice. I hope she doesn’t take on too much of a chill.
Sharon’s last photo was a rare discovery, a nest of baby rocks! Amazing what the Big Lake can do with the cold and ice, wrapping up a package of her beautiful stones. I wonder if there were any agates in that nest?
Today’s video is an icy one, too. Judy Byykkonen was heading to the Rozsa Center for an event, when she heard the tinkling of music outdoors and found it coming from an Icelophone (Ice Xylophone}. It was part of the UP North – South Music Festival this past weekend and was built and played near the Walker building on Michigan Tech’s campus.

Interesting stuff! I used to play the drums and I knows that's a good way to work up a sweat.
