Icy coatings are the norm these days on the shores of Lake Superior. Marcy Bessolo Hermanson took these shots at Bucky's and Eagle River. Don't ask me which ones are where, though. As we get further and further into winter, the ice formations take on a life of their own, but these here today are sculpted beautifully. Even though it's STILL too early for winter, in my opinion, I will admit to how pretty everything looks covered in white and ice.
Our Lake Superior video comes to us from Frances Czapski, over on the Whitefish Point Michigan Facebook page. He managed to brave the 20+ mph winds this day to make the video.
P.S. Don’t forget that the 2020 Pasty Cam Calendars are ready for ordering, along with U.P. Pasties. They make nice gifts for Christmas (both the calendars and the pasties). Click here to order: 2020 Pasty Cam Calendar and Pasties

The "early" cold and ice seems to have the cargo carriers scrambling more than usual. I just counted no less than 35 Lakers and Saltys on the Big Lake. A late season rush is not a new thing but it seems to be heavier than normal.
I've already got my Christmas Pasties. Get'm will you still can. **unpaid gratuitous shill**
