When the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile drove down the main street of Lake Linden, Jeff Dennis was in the right place at the right time to capture a shot of it. Not your everyday vehicle driving around town, so it’s a good thing he had a camera at the ready.
That same day, Cheryl Johnson spotted the Planters Nutmobile at a gas station in Houghton. She said she thought she was losing her mind when driving up to the pumps and she sees a giant peanut vehicle! Word on the street is that they were both in town for the Parade of Nations in Houghton this past Saturday. That’s where Jason Hereford took the photo of his friend, Mandy Koskiniemi Daniels, along with her kids and friends, posing with the Nutmobile and cutouts. How fun is that?
Rumor has it that both vehicles will be in town this coming week for the Hockeyville festivities in Calumet, too.
The intro to today’s video from YouTube says: “The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is iconic. In 1936, the Mayer brothers created the Wienermobile and nearly 90 years later it's still rolling around spreading fun, handing out Wiener Whistles and making everyone smile.” Seems like a fun way to travel, actually! How many of you remember the song at the beginning of the video?

Fun pictures today. We're gonna try to get to Calumet to see if there's anything going on regarding the Hockeyville festivities.

The Weiner mobile....was in Marquette a couple of years ago and saw it there...we almost went off the road screaming "The Weinermobile, The Weinermobile!"
