When Eric Stewart was in Eagle Harbor recently, he did a bit of kayaking. He commented on the first photo saying, “Can’t decide, should I leave the Harbor or not?” I’m chiming in “not”, just look at those waves crashing around the rocks further out. I’d prefer to be safe in the protected Harbor there. I’m not sure what his decision was, though.
Eric’s second photo must have been snapped on a different day, as Lake Superior looks much calmer. He made it out of the Harbor and around to the buoy that marks Eagle Harbor out in the Big Lake. I imagine the bell was ringing the day of the first photo, but probably not making a sound the day of the second shot.
Today’s video is a bit different, it was recorded this summer and the description says: A right of passage of teens now a days seems to be jumping off the buoy that helps guide boats into Eagle Harbor, Mi. Pasty.com does not endorse or recommend you try this “at home”.

Nice pic's and video, but if you want to impress me..... climb the lighthouses and dive or jump from one of those heights!! I remember those crazy days!!

I love to play in waves that high if the wind has died down and the tops of the waves are smooth. However, if they're turning over that means I might, also. That day I just went to the end of the rocks, then back across the Harbor. Even that was a fun ride.
