Today’s photos from Beth Jukuri are a good example of how a picture can’t always portray the conditions. It looks nice and sunny there at White City, but when you take note of the wave action, you can tell it was also windy that day, enough to stir up some whitecaps, even. Look along the breakwall, and you can see some waves splashing up on the sides, there. I bet it was still a wonderful day to be there, though.
Beth stepped back to get more of the beach in her second shot. Look at all those footprints in the sand heading out to the shoreline. That’s quite a few feet that have been there and made those marks. It’s really a popular spot for picnics, boating and swimming in the summer months.
Judy Byykkonen was with Beth and a few other ladies, who biked 23 miles round trip from where they were camping in Bootjack, to White City and back. In Judy’s video, you can hear the wind, along with the crashing waves that day. Not a good day to be swimming or kayaking there, with the waves seeming to go every which way and around.

Interesting note:
Catch-and-release fishing matches the rise in consumption of decaffeinated coffee in developing nations.
Nice bike trip Beth & Judy!
