Last weekend, Christi Schmitt participated in a program at Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay, where women go to learn how to Become an Outdoors Woman – Michigan and shares it with us today. The program teaches women a variety of outdoor activities, such as paddle boarding in the first photo. In the second photo the ladies were learning about wilderness first aid. They learned how to use items they have on hand, such as Duct Tape, scarves and everyday items to treat someone injured in the woods, until medical help gets to them. There was even a class on how to fix your Mountain Bike, important if you’re out riding and your bike breaks down.
Today’s video is a report that TV6 & Fox UP broadcast a few years back on this annual event. For more information on upcoming workshops click here: Become an Outdoors Woman – MI DNR.

Interesting pix and I know I don't have the right equipment physically, but I'd still like to sign up. What do you say, UC...do you think we could fake it?
