Oh, the wonderful things you see on the backroads around the Copper Country. Beth Jukuri is one of the lucky ones that those backroads are actually her “office”, while she’s delivering rural folk’s mail from Chassell to Tapiola each day. She recently spotted (pun intended) twin fawns with their Mom. They don’t look like they’re very old here, so tiny.
Then another family was on the route, a pair of geese with their fuzzy goslings between them. Looks like only two, but it’s hard to tell for sure when they’re in a bunch like that.
Just in case you encounter a fawn by itself and think it has been abandoned, today’s video gives you some important information about what you should and shouldn’t do to save these beautiful little critters.

This message has been spread for years but people continue to 'adopt' that baby animal they find 'abandoned'. Thanks for another reminder that it is VERY unlikely that the mother left the baby behind.

Good information! There are a lot of deer in Metro-Detroit right now, and now I know what "not" to do when I find one napping in the passenger seat of my truck.
