The bird feeders UP North have been teeming with birds now that Spring has finally arrived. Nancy Haun in the Skanee area shares a photo of her platform feeder which seems to be filled to capacity with Purple Finches. She said she fills the platform with Black Oil Sunflower seeds and some fall off to the ground, which takes care of the ground feeders, too.
Nancy also shared another sure sign of Spring, with her second photo. Woodland flowers are sprouting up on the floor of the forest and these little white ones are beauties for sure. I’m not sure what they’re called, so if anyone knows, please chime in.
Today’s video doesn’t have as many Purple Finches as you see on Nancy’s feeder, but it’s fun to see them in action.

When I see the bird feeder's, it immediately reminds me of Uncle Rudy Aittama. Unc always fed the birds at his house. Nice Pic's. Me.... I just feed them when I go thru the drive thru!! lol

The white flowers are bloodroot. The speckled leaves are trout lilies, tho the yellow flowers are long gone by now..
