We can always count on Shannon, over at 906 Images, to snap breathtaking photos of Lake Superior waves in action. He captures the beauty and the power of the Big Lake so well, that you almost expect to feel the spray from the waves when you’re looking at the photos. Those were some big waves and someone commented that they were “surfing” waves. Maybe so, but I’m content just viewing them, not even slightly interested in riding them, what a wild adventure that would be! I’m always astounded at the colors Lake Superior displays when she’s rocking and rolling like this.

We’re also treated to a video that Shannon made to accompany the photos. He said it was 25° this day and there were 25-35 mph winds whipping Superior into a frenzy of rolling and crashing waves. Truly incredible to see and hear Lady Superior in action.
