Deb Simons captured a couple photos of their recent nighttime visitors in the backyard. That’s a nice young buck there and a doe that looks to be enjoying some apples. Deb said there are never any fawns lately and from what she’s read, there are too many predators around so the little ones might not be making it. It’s all part of nature, but still quite sad. We’re seeing the fawns with the mothers around our farm yet, so some of them are still making it, thank goodness.
The second set of pictures are Deb and Ron’s kitties, Max and Otis. On this sunny day, they were enjoying a nap on the cushions and then by the looks on their faces in the bottom picture, perhaps the photo shoot awakened them and they weren’t very impressed. I bet they went back to their naps shortly after. That’s the life!
Get To Know Nature introduces us to the White-Tailed Deer. They’re common in many areas of North America, but it’s still a treat to see them in your backyard or the wild, especially when they have their young ones along. I like the snorting and stamping... we recently had one outside our bedroom window, eating apples from the ground and when she spotted me in the window, she started stomping and snorting at me like in the video.

Beautiful pics...the deer look healthy. Max and Otis don't look so thrilled. LOL But fun...
Like they say.."Dogs have Humans, Cats have Staff", AND...Way back when, Cats were treated like Gods in Egypt. They have not forgotten that...And how true! LOL

Hey Donna, you'd swear that these cats are still in Egypt the way they feel so entitled, lol. We spoil them, and I'm good with that. They're very social animals and very loving. And Mary had it just the opposite. They curled up and went to sleep after daring us to kick them off of our swing, lol. Not too long after that, they were all curled up in a ball snoozing. Cats are great companions.

Great pictures Deb! Those deer love the apples - and hostas. The kitties are so cute. We named one of the community cats 'Otis" and he was black & white too. Someone trapped him and took him away tho.
