Bob Fleury of 906 Superiorland Sunrises is big on getting out with his camera each morning to capture the sunrise, he hasn’t missed one in ten-plus years. It’s a great way to start the day, peaceful in the early morning on the shores of Lake Superior, before most others are out and about yet. These shots were from the Island, Presque Isle to be exact. It’s fun to see the different ways Bob frames the sunrise with things like the gazebo, the tree trunk, even the bubbly waves, which is actually my favorite of the group. Looking at these photos, you can almost hear the quiet, except for the water sounds as the waves roll onto shore.

We have another video from MI Playground, looking forward to summer and all the things you can do in St. Ignace then. Get out paper and pen to take notes and plan a getaway to the Straits area this summer.

I like the clever placement of the Sun in the pictures. But as someone who is up most of the night I prefer sunsets

Hi
John Mich, I understand. Most of my sunrises have
been associated with getting to work, so I rarely
stopped to appreciate the beauty. But they are
beautiful, like these.

Hi
John Mich, I understand. For me, I usually only saw
a sunrise on my way to work, while coping with
traffic. But they are beautiful, like these.

I used to do sunrises....These are just
spectacular! WOWOWOWOW!!!

The best one I got was the sun rising at the tip
of the Keweenaw Peninsula. I was almost to Lac La
Belle, but not quite. The last time I was in that
area, it was all grown in. But so stunning...it's
just you and God...watching and listening to the
world wake up. The bugs starting, the fish
slipping up to grab a bug, the birds starting to
sing.....

And those pics were from before Digital
arrived...that was an old fashioned camera with
film to develop! lol....I'm old.

Beautiful pics and very familiar with all those
locations. Two thumbs up! Great video as well,
always enjoy MI Playground, those guys know how to
have fun for sure.

Ron, Donna, Alex, Mr Buck, D.A. steady as we go, lol
one day at a time for all of us. Wishing great
health for everyone.

Thanks UC! Was so glad to see your post last night! Hoping all good news from your upcoming tests. Take care of yourself.

Yes, spent a lot of time in these places but never recall seeing the bubbling water. Probably just not observant enough. Hope all the salamanders are safe!

Absolutely gorgeous! I live sunrises and sunsets
equally. Pictures 2 and 4 are my favorites because
of the sun placement, but they're all just
beautiful. Makes me think spring.

I echo everybody's wishes for good health for all
of us.
