Back in December we enjoyed pictures of Fritz, Jeff and Chris Dennis, kayaking in the Lac La Belle Channel and I was wondering then if they’d make it in the water for a January paddle. Well, they did, in the last days of January, the Big Lake was calm enough for them to get out and paddle, this time at Little Traverse. Check out the icy cliffs there and how clear the water is. You can see ripples in the sand below Superior’s surface, along with the rocks below in several of the pictures, too. It looks like Fritz was behaving himself this time, as Jeff let him up on the bow of the kayak, probably because it was so calm, too, he didn’t have to worry about him slipping into the cold Lake Superior water. I have to admit, I’m just a tad jealous, as I’d like to be able to say that I kayaked in November, December and January, too. Now, I’m taking bets on whether the Dennis trio make it for a February paddle. Any takers?
Jeff’s video is a short one, but gives you a great perspective of what they were seeing in person that day. Enjoy!

I love watching Fritz and his adventures! I agree Mary - they will kayak in February. They may have already! :)

Nice set as usual! Fritz’s is a natural on that vessel. Could it be Ed Chaput reincarnate…EddyFritze? Smooth video, too.

These are very great pictures. I can't imagine the thrill of kayaking Superior in January. Here's to kayaking in February. I love how the sand looks. I noticed that right away.

Bob S (Oldtoot) - Jeff says that Fritz is a Coton de Tulear and Havanese mix, called a Havaton. And adds that he loves to play and go for hikes. I'm just glad Fritz takes us all along hiking and kayaking!
