This past week produced some amazing sunsets. We have an array of photos from four different photographers in four different locations, starting with a fiery sky shot from Diane Richard in the L’Anse/Baraga area. With the lack of ice, this one almost looks like a summer photo. Spectacular!

Next we make a stop in Bootjack for a sunset view from Dawn Pichette, with the clouds flaming and throwing pink onto the clouds surrounding the setting sun. Beautiful!

Heading further north, we join Jean Dessellier in Traprock Valley for our next sunset photo. Her shot also shows the bright golden sky and the deep pink in the clouds, making for a dramatic scene on the horizon. Breathtaking!

We end our sunset photo tour in Ahmeek, where Marcy Bessolo Hermanson captured the flaming scene from her front porch. I like how the pink reflections are like wisps of clouds in the sky. Striking!

Each one of these photos here today are a good representation of the sunset that evening. From my vantage point at home, the entire sky was ablaze and I’m so glad that others were able to capture so much of that beauty. In The Keweenaw wraps it all up with a drone video of the sunset, taken over Hancock and the Portage Canal. Outstanding!

Nice to see sunset photos on a day other than the
last of the month.

In the cloudy downstate, we haven't seen good
sunsets. It's been more "huh, it just got darker".

WOWOWOWOW....The sky is burning, the sky is
burning. What incredibly beautiful pics....and the
Video is icing on the cake!

These are absolutely spectacular! Thanks to all

Nat and I just returned from a trip to Tucson, AZ and some of those sunsets over the mountains were incredible; almost as good as these...
