Thanks to Jean Dessellier we have Old Glory flying with the stars and stripes waving under blue skies. Not to mention her beautiful hanging basket adding more color to the scene. And as if that wasn’t enough, Jean also shares a patriotic bluebird, up close and personal. I mean technically it’s “red, white and blue”, right? I think her third photo is an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly and Jean said that’s a Dwarf Lilac Bush that it’s enjoying getting some lunch from. The colors are spectacular, even if they aren’t red, white and blue!

MI Playground shares their first whitewater rafting experience here today and they said it was made even more special to be able to do it in Michigan. They are at True North Outpost in Norway, Michigan, rafting through Piers Gorge on the Menominee River. The guys said it was a great experience, starting with a leisurely float down the river, while also learning everything they needed to know for a fun and safe time ahead.
