A pair of photographers team up for today’s bouquet of spring beauties. We start out with Donna MacIntosh and some pretty little white Violets covering her neighbor’s yard in Houghton. Her second photo shows several of them close-up. I’m not sure what Donna’s third flower is, maybe some type of small iris? Maybe not, but whatever it is, it’s quite springlike and beautiful.
The next three shots were snapped by Brenda Leigh in Brimley. She captured Daffodils, purple Pansies and some beautiful Hyacinths. Brenda said that it appears this year will be a good year for growing and that it’s the best these perennials have looked in years. So her flower garden is off to a good start! So colorful it makes everything brighter!
Steve Brimm knows how to make things better each day with the video clips he shares... today we get a calming, thoughtful moment in between a few raindrops.
Keep voting for Lake Superior as the Best Lake in all three categories.
Vote for the best lake in the U.S. once per day until polls close on Monday, June 5 at noon ET. No matter the outcome, we want to do our Big Lake proud.

What are these unusual colors that I see on the ground? Is there
something wrong with my screen?
And I watched and listened to the video three times…perfect!
And vote cast…we’re 4 out of 20???

I hear you Alex...we went down?? Sniff.
The purple flower is another of those lil bitty violets. Just read where they are edible. They are edible...they just don't taste good. lol Then again, my taste is so off...

Beautiful pictures! And I've always loved the sound of rain.
Voted and yep, dropped another point.

I have never seen a carpet of white violets like that! It was good news it wasn't snow!
Now they are mocking us! We're #4 for Best Lake, but #3 for Best Lake for Swimming and #3 for Best Lake for Water Sports? Something's fishy here!! (and not the great Lake Superior fishing either!)
