Stacey Flood spent one of our summer-like days last week, on the shores of Lake Superior with Olive and Cosmo. Olive is the taller, slender of the two pups, Cosmo is shorter and chunkier, but they both love being out there so close to Lake Superior and you can see it in the third photo, with the big smile on Olive’s face.

I was a little surprised to see some ice still hanging off the rocks, almost hugging them in some spots, but I suppose with the cold temperatures of the waters of Superior, it keeps the rocks chilled enough for the ice to hang on still. If you look out to the rock cropping further out in the Big Lake, there’s a bit of ice hanging on there, also. It won’t be long and those will all be melted away.

We have the final video short for this week, from Steve Brimm here today. He shares a peaceful morning, with the last of the glaciers in the Harbor. Turn up the volume to get the full effect of the soothing sounds, too!

Looks like they had to close the Silver River bridge a few days early. Hoping for favorable weather over the next few months to get M26 back open as soon as possible.
