We had another bout with winter last week, with freezing rain and high winds, causing plenty of downed branches and icy coatings on trees and signs. Debbie Jarve was out and about the next morning to snap a few photos around Calumet and I’m glad she did, because we had the rain, but not the freezing down in the valley here in Lake Linden, so I was surprised when I saw her iced-up shots. I think my favorite among these here today, is the stop sign, with the octagon shaped ice sliding down off the back of it. Close seconds to that one are the icy needles and branches in the first two photos.
This is the second video in our series checking out the drained Poe Lock in the Soo, from Andrea Guerriero over at DRE Designs – Great Lakes Marine Products. We’re taking a cart ride with a look at the Stop Logs and how large they really are. Stay tuned for the rest of the week, as we continue our tour inside the Poe Lock.

I love those first 2 photos here. They're very pretty. I'm really glad we just got some rain and a little snow.
The last few days have been so gorgeous that it was shorts weather today. Probably wishful thinking, but it would be nice if it was here to stay. Pretty sure we all know better.

Interesting pix and I would say that it’s still wintery UP there.
Hopefully your experiencing some of the summer-like temps that we are having here in SE-MI.
The video was cool, but now I’m craving bagels.

When I first looked at the video before staring it, I thought I was looking at a Cruise Ship going through the Lock's, I was thinking, man they have SISU!! lol
