Valentine’s Day is one of those made-up holidays in order to sell cards and various gifts. The Pasty Cam today is Brenda Leigh and our gift to all of you, showing that if you really open your eyes and look around, you can find “love” everywhere. Brenda shares a fun set of photos that she has collected of various hearts she just happened upon. All but one were formed by nature and that one she made herself with ice and nature’s decorative help (photo #3). A couple other interesting tidbits...photo #2 actually fell out of her shovel while clearing the driveway and she added some decorative touches from nature for color. I love all these hearts, but my favorite is the bottom photo. Look how delicate that heart is, just balancing there on the skinny branch. My hope is that all these hearts will brighten your Valentine’s Day!

Speaking of bright, we have another Mont Ripley skiing video from In The Keweenaw. It was a beautiful, sunshiny, spring-like February day, with 45° temperatures. That’s just about unheard of in February, but we’ve been blessed with a few of these days the past couple weeks.

All those cold hearts! Beautiful, though.

Years ago when beach-walking, I picked up a heart-
shaped rock with a hole in it. I put it on a leather
thong to make necklace. I used to wear it on
Valentine's Day and tell people "I have a heart of
stone".

Kathryn, I wear a "hag stone" all the time. It's a
little bitty rock with a hole through it. I did
clear nail polish on it..and put it on. There's an
old Celtic Legend of the Hag Stone being
Protection! Works for me!
