Some areas in the Keweenaw receive more snow than others. Laurium/Calumet usually get hit pretty hard, as these photos from Judy Byykkonen show. Thankfully, she does have a working snowblower to move the inches and inches of snow each morning. The snow alongside her pathway is building up higher and higher. Judy snapped a shot of her shadow, just to show that we do get sunshine now and again in the winter, but once she looked at it, she noticed that the snow made a face on the shadow...an eerie looking one at that or maybe Judy was frowning after all that snow removal!
Rob from Michigan Rocks recently received “A Major Award”. He said he was very excited to receive his YouTube Creator Award. His wife Nancy and Rob had a ball making this short film about it. I’m sure it will give you a chuckle, too. Congratulations Rob!

Before I read the description here, I noticed the face in the shadow. I think that's so cool. Nice pictures, Judy!
