After receiving plenty of snow in mid-November, we’ve been treated to high 40° and mid 50° temperatures for the past few days, which in turn melted most of the snow, especially on the roadways. Dawn Pichette and her hubby took a drive out to White City and had the beach all to themselves and there was no snow to be found on the shores or the breakwall there. Seems funny to see the beach with hardly any footprints, tracks or people. In the third photo there looks to be some beach erosion taking place, but maybe that was extra sand deposited from waves during the fall storms and now it’s washing back into Lake Superior. Oops...I made a false statement about “no snow” out there...you can see a little corner of snow on the breakwall, right where Dawn’s pup is standing!
Visit Keweenaw shares a video of the annual Hancock Christmas walk and parade that kicked off the holiday season this past weekend. They said that: “Christmas in the Keweenaw hits a little differently.” adding that: “Our charming small towns twinkle with cheer and Frosty and Santa bring smiles from ear to ear.”

I do love seeing no snow on the beach. We
may get a bunch tonight and tomorrow,
though. But what a way to take advantage of
the beautiful weather.
Cute video too.
