What a good eye Stacey Flood has for interesting, thought-provoking photos. Most of us would look at a leafless apple tree in the winter and not give it a second thought, but Stacey captured angles of the remaining apples with snow sitting on them like little winter hats. The snow reminds me of elf hats, actually. The best part of these apples still hanging on the trees this time of year, is that they will help to feed the winter birds here UP North in the cold, snowy months. I love the bits of color they add to the white of winter, too.

We join Lisa and Randy over at Northwoods to Nautical for a walk in the Keweenaw woods with their dogs, Boris, Bella and Ramsey. Actually Lisa is the only one walking as Randy is riding the snowmobile and the three dogs are running after him through the snow. Enjoy the fun in the winter woods with them!
