It’s always a sad day when you have to close up the camp for the winter, not that you won’t still go out there to check on things, just that summer is over and no more nights in the beach house this year for Barbara Bouwkamp. She said these first two photos are most likely the last of the slough photos for 2022 also. Good thing they’re beauties. Seems strange again to see more snow on the beach than sand, too. Guess there will be footprints in the snow now, instead of footprints in the sand.
We’re having a geology lesson with Dr. Nat today, about the sedimentary rock that was deposited in the Mid-continent Rift System. The sound is a bit noisy, but Dr. Nat said there was a waterfall to her right and she couldn’t turn it off. No need to take notes, we won’t be quizzing you later.

Nice pictures, though it's weird not to see color anymore. It did hang on nicely though.
Dr. Nat, ever the teacher. She has students who pay attention in pasty com. Thanks for the lesson Nat. Please don't quiz me next summer if you make it UP.

I know there are many folks here who read Sharon Smith's blog. A page has been started to help pay for her funeral and burial:
Hi everyone! I'm a little late in responding. It's getting to the end of the semester and I'm very busy at work. Thanks to everyone for watching the little videos I've made. I'm glad you like them.
