I’m going to have to say it... only in the Copper Country would you find portable saunas and a pool hauled in for the Calumet Copper Kings football team to relax after their regular season ended and reload for the playoffs. Josh Frantti shares these photos showing a great way for these high school kids to unwind together and celebrate their successful season, not to mention get them psyched up and ready to go into the playoffs recharged. We had unseasonably warm weather last weekend when this took place, warm enough to be in shorts on the football field after their sauna and jump in the pool. This is something these kids will never forget. Kudos to whoever organized and pulled this all together for them.

Josh also made the video here today, showing the Laurium Fire Department pumper truck filling the pool for the team to cool down after their hot sauna time. Go Copper Kings!

Wow - what a great thing to do! Maybe start a tradition? Maybe next year they wouldn't need to have the pool because there will be snow by now!
