Another month has gone by, along with summer ending and fall beginning. We take this last day of the month to pause and remember those who have left us too soon:

is always sad, but it's especially so when
you knew somebody in that list.
My condolences to the LaCasse family. I
haven't seen Susie since high school, but
it's still a loss when you see they've
passed. And Susan Durocher was my sister in
law. She had so much to live for with her
son, his wife and their children. Becoming a
grandma brought her so much joy.
So condolences to the families of everybody
on this list. They'll never be forgotten.

We appreciate the folks you included this month, Mary. Praying there won't be many more deaths identified from Ian in the days to come. We followed the sad story of Virgil Mongozid and wished it had ended differently.

Oh Deb, it's so sad. He's a young man who died this week in L'Anse/Baraga.

And Caleb Lynum, the young man beaten to death in
Houghton. His family kept him on life support, as
he was an organ donor. God hold him tight!
