It’s something that happens every fall...with colder nighttime temperatures comes morning fog banks and driving into the shroud of fog. Brita Haapala snapped the first three photos in the Mohawk/Ahmeek area while driving her kiddos to school. She said it’s happened a handful of times, that they can see the fog bank ahead and then drive into it further down the road. Of course this leads to long, scientific conversations about clouds and what they really are, which Brita says is a lot for her brain at 8 a.m., I wonder if more morning coffee would help?
Brita’s fourth photo has light shroud of fog ahead on a fall colored curve here in the Keweenaw. I like how the smaller trees are colored and the taller ones are still sporting their greenery. The colors are definitely starting.

In The Keweenaw shares a look at “When the Fog Rolls In” at Copper Harbor, saying: “It's been a Summery September so far with a good mix of fog to go with it. And just because it happened let's throw in a little seaplane footage as well. Enjoy.”

I love these. The 1st and 4th are my
favorites. Driving around the Keweenaw in
summer and fall never disappoints. It really
helps when you know exactly where she is to
take the pictures. Nice job.
Also loved watching the fog come in. Very
cool.
