It seems that Barbara Bouwkamp is always on the look-out for a good photo opportunity, which I’m always appreciative that she is and that she’s always willing to share. She recently spotted a family of Canada Geese at Rice Lake and stopped to snap a couple photos. It looks like there were three young ones with the parents there. Already pretty big, I wonder if the parents have a harder time keeping track of them then. They are staying close to their folks in these shots at least.
Barbara also shares a puffy cloud photo, which I think was out at Big Traverse. I like how the sun is illuminating them from behind. The sun going down photo was taken at Traverse, also, but that’s the “sloughs” that the reflection is seen on. So pretty when the water is like a mirror so you get two pictures in one.
MI Playground is taking us along on the Shepler’s Ferry Lighthouse Tour. It’s a three hour tour and includes the following lighthouses: Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, Round Island Light, Round Island Passage Light, Bois Blanc Lighthouse, Poe Reef, Fourteen Foot Shoal, Cheboygan Crib Light and the Cheboygan River Front Range Light. Most of these can only be viewed from the water, so enjoy the cruise.

Such nice pictures. Watch where you step is
you're following those geese. The ones taken
at traverse are awesome too.
Video was nice too.

"Sun Going Down" is a beautiful shot! Thanks Barbara!
Great lighthouse tour too! The tickets are quite reasonable and the tour guide is from GLLKA so you know he knows his stuff on lighthouses.
