Debbie Jarve went for a ride to check out the waves and got side-tracked by this family of young foxes playing by the side of the road. They were so cute just frolicking there, that she ended up watching and taking photos for about 30 minutes. Debbie said the mother was nowhere to be seen, but I bet she wasn’t too far off watching and making sure they were safe. They sure are cute little critters. Thanks, Debbie! Speaking of critters, Keith Baker, from ”Storm Warrior” Great Lakes Sailor, shared a video that was recorded by his watchman, Trent Avey who was on his way back up the deck from his break. That’s a huge black bear swimming hard against the current with 40 mph winds in the St. Mary’s River at the Soo, from Neebish Island to Sugar Island. And yes, the bear did make it to the other side, he was tuckered out, but he got up on the bank and rested before moving on into the woods. Thanks, Keith and Trent!

Omgosh! Those foxes are so darn cute. Makes
you want to just play with them.
That poor bear. I'm out of breath just
watching him.
