In case you haven’t noticed, Nancy Haun really gets around, she’s an explorer of sorts you might say. Today she’s taking us to the shores of Keweenaw Bay/Lake Superior with a look north and south from Point Abbaye, which is located northeast of L’Anse. Both shots beautiful in their own way.
Nancy had this to say about her photos here today:
Incredibly we were alone-the mountain views and the ever changing skies with the colors that would be difficult to duplicate were so memorable! A quick walk to the North side of Point Abbaye and the setting sun views made it difficult to decide which was the favorite! The North or South side!
Douglas Feltman shares a recent visit to Middle River Falls. The following is from his YouTube description: “The Falls River is fed through tributary creeks along Highway 41. This section of waterfalls is called the Middle Falls. It flows through the town of L`Anse before it finally ends up in the Keweenaw Bay right by downtown. There are many places you can park and hike to the waterfall. There is a park where the river flows into the bay.
