More and more birds are returning now that spring is here in the Keweenaw. It’s wonderful to see the colorful ones like this Indigo Bunting and goldfinch that Kierstin Waara snapped photos of at her Bootjack feeders. Note that the goldfinches are sporting their bright yellow feathers that they change to for spring and summer. In the second shot a Mourning Dove and a couple sparrows have joined the mix, to refuel after returning on their migrating routes. All the different birds and colors are a birdwatchers delight.
Debbie Jarve shares another delight, this one for the waterfall watchers. The Silver River Falls near Copper Harbor is racing under M-26 with plenty of energy. The bonus in this video is a glimpse of the bridge on M-26 that the river flows under. It’s really a beautiful structure and I learned something new about it today, it’s referred to as the M-26 Silver River Culvert. This is another ‘turn UP your speakers” if you want to hear the roar of the powerful water! For more of Debbie’s photography, click on over to her Facebook page here: Debbie Jarve Photography

Pretty pictures. I can never get enough of watching birds.
Silver River Falls is always a must stop. We love it there.

What's wrong with these pictures? I see blue, yellow & brown all managing to get along. It's no wonder this site is a place of peace and tranquility.

Donna, when i saw them i was thinking U of M colors! Now if we could get a green bird to sit with the goldfinch we could have NMU colors.
The falls are really rolling! Beautiful with the Bridge!
