Donna MacIntosh captured these blue sky and cloud photos, from her Houghton apartment balcony recently. Dreamy shots with the white clouds against the brilliant, blue sky. I love how the sun behind the steeple in the last photo, is peeking around making the church spire dark against the clouds. With spring around the corner (yes, I know the calendar says it’s spring, but that’s not always the case here in the Keweenaw), we can expect more blue sky and sunshine days like Donna’s pictures portray.

We have an interesting, moody sort of video today from Douglas Feltman, who says he travels around the U.P., camping as he goes and he gets up early to catch the morning fog and mist. Some days he says he’s lucky and it hangs around most of the day so he has ample time to capture it covering places like Grand Sable Dunes and Pictured Rocks. Upper Peninsula’s beauty shines through even the thickest of fog.

Doug is a magic man....no question.
