I probably sound like a broken record when talking about the shoreline that George C. Bailey gets to observe every day on the north shore of the Keweenaw Peninsula, west of Copper Harbor, but I can’t help it, he has a front row seat to the magnificence of Lake Superior and the many changes she goes through with each and every season. Today’s photos from George look like a frozen tundra on another planet and the mountainous mounds of ice just off shore in front of his shop are nothing short of amazing! Check them out in the bottom two photos and compare them to the size of the shop (the green building in the 2nd to the last photo). The volcanoes are nothing to scoff at, either. No spray coming up through them at the moment, but those icy formations are a work of art in themselves. Mother Nature surely has an artistic touch.
Speaking of ice and formations...we join Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula for an icy adventure at a frozen Hungarian Falls.
