When the season’s change here UP North, Judy Byykkonen’s outdoor activities with her “girls” change, too. She moves from trips to the beach and hikes in the woods, to kicksled preparations and snowshoeing without hesitation. Judy doesn’t actually kicksled with all three of her “girls”, but it was a great opportunity for a photoshoot recently and she jumped on it. She said it took quite a few cheetos to get the pups to sit for the top photo...what a fun shot!

From there Judy took the “girls” snowshoeing around the Calumet Lake. The scenery there is always enjoyable, no matter the season, but there’s something about the snow covering everything that makes it magical. I’m not sure if Judy broke trail or if someone had been there before her, but she said the dogs and her had so much fun this day.

Judy spotted this creature bursting out of the Northwoods near the lake, too. Wait for it...that’s her Zelda, just loving life, romping through the woods. Ahh...the life of a dog is a good one when you have someone like Judy to share adventures with.

Bless you Judy! Those dogs have a stunning
life....as it should be!

I love that 1st picture. I can only imagine
how much work it took to get those dogs to
cooperate. I wish I had half of Judy's
