We have a newcomer as our photographer today, Jennifer Ashley Smith. Sunday night, while others were hunkered down for the winter storm, she was out walking around Houghton, across the Lift Bridge and UP the Hancock stairway on the other side of the Bridge, snapping pictures along the way. Jennifer’s first photo is just about the same scene we were looking at on Tuesday’s Pasty Cam, except now it’s covered with snow! She captured a couple scenes in downtown Houghton. Made a trek across the Lift Bridge with a snapshot looking back at the Houghton Bridgeview Park in the blowing snow. Then she climbed the Hancock stairway near the bridge and took a photo looking back toward Houghton from the top. I like that you can see the footprints on the stairs, but can’t really see any of the steps along the way. Jennifer had a bit of a workout trudging through the accumulating snow to capture all these stormy shots!

We join Fun in the U.P. for a 1 minutes drone flight over Alberta – Winter Wonderland. This is the location of the former Henry Ford Sawmill and is now a part of the Michigan Tech Forestry Center.

Kinda unusual to see the canal not frozen over yet at this time of December. Won't be long I'm sure.

Great pics & video!! I don't know... seems like the older I get, the more the cold bothers me, could be all the meds I'm taking I suppose or this bandage on my right paw which is a major inconvenience. Start OT on my hand next week. Barring any other unforeseen disasters... I'm looking forward to being in the U.P. from July to mid October next year!!

I just love looking at Christmas
decorations. Will go driving around some
evening next week I think. If the weather
cooperates we'll pick my mom up from the
nursing home. She doesn't like going out if
it's ugly out.
