There were so many Lake Superior photos from last week’s storm, I figured we’d take a look at a few more today. Deb Simons and Mr. Deb (Ron) were out “wave chasing” during the storm. They started at the mouth of the Tobacco River, just past Gay and snapped shots of the Big Lake covered in some good size waves at the park there. Their next stop was at Brunette Park, just down the road on the way to Lac La Belle. Sadly, they found a tree that had fallen in the heavy winds. Looks like it upended one of the picnic tables, too.

From there, Deb and Ron headed to the opposite shore of Superior and snapped a shot at Esrey Park between Copper Harbor and Eagle Harbor. The waves weren’t whipping the shoreline here, since the winds were busy stirring up the waters on the opposite shoreline. There was still enough action at Great Sand Bay, though, for some surfers to get out there and catch a wave.

Deb captured quite the wavy video at the Tobacco River Park. You can hear the wind and the waves blowing them around. We even get a glimpse of Mr. Deb (Ron) trying to keep his hat and hood in the winds.

That day was so much fun! We couldn't get
enough of it. We also stopped at Bete Grise.
The waves were really breaking off of the
breakwater there. Ron got some photos from
there. He had the camera so he could zoom
more than I could with my phone. While
there, I just sat on a picnic table and
took it all in. You could just feel the
stress leaving your body. I love Lady
Superior and all her moods too. I hope you
guys enjoy the pictures, though they never
are as good as actually being there. Have a
great day!

Thanks for the great pictures & video Deb! Yes, would like to be sitting there watching the waves too!

Hey, you're going to have to change your 'handle' since now you are a Yooper again!
