Indeed, the leaves they are a changing...here we are with a look at some backroads and a view from Bumbletown Hill. Cathy McKenzie snapped these shots showing the color is really beginning to pop on some of the Keweenaw backroads and you can see leaves are starting to change in the Bumbletown Hill photos, too. What an amazing view from that vantage point! I’m not sure what mountains we’re seeing in the distance in that bottom photo, the one toward the left and then one off toward the right. Anyone?

Traveling north about 15 miles, we join Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula for a look at Central Mine, a Copper Country Ghost Town.

That distinctive sharp drop on the horizon to the left is the Cliff on Cliff Drive, and the hills farther to the right are Mt Horace Greeley and Mt. Bohemia and surrounding hills, farther behind MHG.

Beautiful color in all of these pictures. She
captured the beautiful blue of the sky with
the beauty of the clouds. And let's not
forget Superior's deep blue color. Then
there's the changing colors of the leaves,
too. Great pictures.

Doesn't get much better.
