Judy Byykkonen & Beth Jukuri were out kayaking with friends recently and discovered something new at the Houghton Waterfront Park. A Kayak Launch, so of course the “girls” all had to try it (see today’s video for live action). Once they were all launched, the paddling began and took them along the Houghton waterfront, under the Portage Lift Bridge and alongside the Ranger III. Views from the water are always unique, including Mont Ripley Ski Hill in green, such a pretty sight and it’s such a relaxing time paddling when the water is flat and calm.

Check out Beth’s video of one of the ladies trying out the launch. It looks pretty smooth and actually a fun way to enter the water. Now if they’d only get a smooth ride out of the water, we’d be all set!
