One of the definitions of the word “collage” is: a combination or collection of various things. That’s what today’s photo offerings are, a combination of different photographers and a collection of various subjects.
We start with a photo from 906 Images, snapped in Marquette Harbor, with the Kaye E. Barker and the Great Lakes Trader at the Ore Dock, getting another shipment of iron ore. Quite stunning with the lights on the boats, the dock and the horizon, too.
The second photo comes to us from Isaac Diener at Isaac Diener Photography. We had a dandy thunder/lightning storm last week, during which Isaac stopped this lightning bolt in mid air at 3:00 a.m., near the Hancock Beach. Spring thunderstorms are back.
Number three was snapped by Barbara Bouwkamp from her Big Traverse Beach House. It was actually the sunrise on Easter morning. Just plain beautiful with the calm waters of Lake Superior and the colors reflecting on the surface like that.
Last, but not least, is a photo of the last of the ice at Cedar Bay, from Jeremy Rowe. That’s his little tyke on top that mound of balancing ice. You can see the layers of ice, one on top of the other and it’s astounding to me, that it’s just balancing there like it is. I wonder how long it will remain like this, before it finally falls to the shore?
We’re going for a ride with Suyeon Griffin on our video today. Crossing the Mackinac Bridge with her daughter driving and her son and dog Ssooni in the back seat. I wonder if he’s a back seat driver yet? Enjoy the ride!

Absolutely beautiful pics!! They're all fantastic, however, I guess I'm partial to the top pic being Marquette and all. What a cool image from the air, it's now my background pic on my laptop!! The video is really neat as well, it's nice to see people get excited as they cross the Big Mac and her 5 mile span!!
