The Cliffs here in the Keweenaw are well known by locals and tourists alike, especially those that hike, snowmobile, 4 wheel ride or rock climb. Located near Phoenix, they border the highway known as Cliff Drive and partly on US 41/M 26. Marcy Bessolo Hermanson was there last week and snapped today’s photos to share. It is an impressive sight when you’re driving along this ridge of rocky cliffs, no matter if it’s winter or summer, but there’s something about the snow cover on the ridge, that makes it stand out even more. There truly is so much beauty here in the Keweenaw, we all, locals and visitors alike, need to take the time to really explore and enjoy the uniqueness of our area.
Check out the video feature for snowboarding footage here in the Keweenaw at Mount Bohemia. I think you’d have to be an experienced snowboarder to take on those runs with all the trees to maneuver around. I’ll just stick to watching videos of it, that gives me all the rush I can handle!

Hi
Yikes! I admit, I'd be way too chicken to do that.
When I went cross-country skiing, I liked the
long, gradual downhill stretches, but never did
the weaving in and out of trees.
