Nicky Outinen was out at her family camp at Big Traverse over the weekend and these are the scenes she enjoyed. I’m not kidding, these were snapped this past Sunday, even though it looks like it could be July, not January in the photos. Nicky said she didn’t go swimming, but she did walk in the water...with her rubber boots on! She said it was sure colder than it looks.
What a stark contrast the south shore of Lake Superior is, to the photos earlier this week from the north shoreline. Click here for another look at those shots: Tuesday, 1/12/21.
We get to enjoy the next best thing to being there with Nicky, as she shared a video of the water gently lapping up onto the beach there, too. Make sure you have your speakers turned up, if you want to enjoy the sounds of a calm Lake Superior.
