It is inevitable here in the Copper Country, that by now we know winter is coming to stay soon. As I type this, we have a covering of snow on the ground, but the temperatures are supposed to be in the 40’s again, so that will probably melt. That’s the pattern for our weather lately, rain, snow, warm up a little, melt, rain, snow...repeat. That’s due to change with December arriving in just a few days.

In the meantime, we check out some frozen leaves that Stacey Flood spotted on a walk in the woods. The reflections of light on the ice shows off some neat patterns and it’s fun to try to pick out the different leaves suspended under the ice. As a kid, I’d have had to stomp that ice and crack it all up, instead of enjoying the beauty of nature’s icy creation.

Stacey’s last photo is a friend of hers, that helped with a tree removal on their property recently. She also made a short video of the job... TIMBER!

Nice pics and cool video!! The boss took my
chainsaw away from me, said I was too
dangerous!!!!! :( Can you believe that!! lol She

I agree Uncle Chuck. Once again, Mother Nature proves to be a great artist.

BTW, your remark made me immediately think of a song by Dr. Elmo (he's the one who did "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer"). The song's theme is "Chucky got a chainsaw for Christmas". I'll let you look it up if you wish as it doesn't deserve a link here.
