Beth Jukuri recently got together with friends for exercise and fun in the outdoors. They enjoyed a hike on the Nara Nature Park and headed out on the trails there. Beth said she’s not good with the trail names, so wasn’t sure which trail they took, but that they started out at the Chalet. The trail they were on in these pictures sure looks like a good one, easy walking and great surroundings too.
I found this information on the Nara Nature Park Facebook page: “The Nara Nature Park is linked to the Michigan Tech University trails with a combination of over 50 miles of trails for hiking, running, biking, skiing, and snowshoeing. The Nara Nature Park also has a sledding hill and a chalet. The chalet houses an interpretive display featuring the different plant species and wildlife within the Park. The building also has a fireplace, restrooms with showers, and a concession area.” Another one of the places here in the Copper Country that I knew about, but didn’t really know about until now. It looks like this will have to be added to my “must do” list now, also.
We’re going on a video hike with Landon Wold and his family. It’s great to see parents starting their kids on the path of enjoying Michigan’s outdoors at a young age.

Loved the video with the kids out in the woods! So good to see a family enjoying the outside together. And the girl's hike with the canines looked like a good time too! Since no one was wearing orange it must have been before hunting season started.
