The temperatures have been up and down during this month of November, with even a day or two as warm as 60°, but then it drops back down to low 30’s and even 20’s during the night a few times, which makes for beautiful artwork by Mother Nature on Lake Superior’s shores. Jeff Dennis brings us today’s collection of photos.
From Superior’s shores he traveled to Marquette Harbor and captured a neat nighttime shot of the Honorable James L. Oberstar pulled up to the Presque Isle LS&I, Marquette Ore Dock. These Marquette Harbor photos at night are always somewhat magical with the lights and reflections on the water.
On his way back from Marquette, Jeff stopped off at the Lower Portage Entry for a shot of the fishing boat, Kathy. Nothing fancy about this old boat, beat up and well worked it seems. So many neat elements in this photo, with a sliver of light on the moon and check out how the light coming from the far end of the dock looks blue in the dark of the night. Pretty cool!
Jeff took a different ride a few weeks back, after he finished up the big job of restoring his 1997 Polaris Indy Lite Snowmobile. It was the first early winter ride, with Jeff saying he hopes it’s just the beginning of bigger and better snowmobile rides this winter.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our Pasty Cam family!
